How does the microbubble separator work?

This innovative air vent uses a patented “Air Trap Cartridge.” The water is passed through this cartridge, where swirling movements cause even the smallest air bubbles (microbubbles) to be released. These microbubbles collect and are then automatically and continuously discharged via a high-quality, adjustable automatic vent valve at the top.

Installation & Start-up:
 

• For maximum effectiveness, install this microbel separator at the warmest point in the system, where air is most likely to form:

• Heating systems (e.g., with boiler): Immediately after the boiler on the supply line.

• Cooling systems (e.g., with heat pump in cooling mode): On the return line, just before the cooling unit (chiller).  

• Important at start-up: Make sure that the cap of the automatic air vent valve at the top is open or unscrewed (according to the manufacturer's instructions) so that the collected air can escape and the air vent functions correctly.

Maintenance:


To ensure optimal performance, periodic maintenance is required. This mainly consists of cleaning the housing in which the Air Trap Cartridge is located to remove any accumulated dirt. Consult the manual or your installer for the recommended frequency. One of our dirt separators prevents dirt from entering this housing.
