With the 4CUT you can tighten the screws without pre-drilling (depending on the type of wood), thanks to the special screw point. The quadrangular protrusion pushes the fibres of the wood out of the way. This prevents the material from splitting and reduces the screwing torque. For hardwood, it is recommended that you pre-drill, also with SPAX with 4CUT.
