Home automation in collaboration with Niko Home Control
Just like Vaillant, Niko aims for optimal comfort in every home. Did you know that their automation system Niko Home Control is fully compatible with our smart thermostat vSMART? The only thing you need is electricity: this system is therefore not only suitable for newbuild homes, it can also be seamlessly integrated into renovations. The connection between your vSMART and Niko Home Control is made once via the Niko Home Control portal. Simply click 'link new system' and enter the serial number of your vSMART (a 28-character number on the back of your thermostat). From now on, you can control various applications (heating, curtains, music, etc.) from one central location in your home or at a remote location.
Automate your heating system with 'If This Then That' (IFTTT)
Imagine: your heating switches off automatically when no one is at home. You leave the gym and your boiler switches on automatically. Or even better: your heating switches one degree higher when you say you are cold. Distant future? Not at all! It is possible with the vSMART! If This Then That (IFTTT) is a free service that links apps and websites. The idea behind IFTTT is to automate certain actions: from your favourite apps to your heating system.
Tell me something about yourself
When do you start your day? When does it usually end? What does your week look like? Based on this information, we program your installation to suit your days, weekends and weeks. Once programmed, you do not have to do anything anymore. Heating and hot water production then run on automatic pilot. The vSMART is a self-learning thermostat: based on the temperature outside and the heat loss in your home, it regulates your temperature perfectly independently within two weeks!
I do nothing while you work
It is my job to keep your house warm. I am lazy. So I do it with a minimum of effort. And with as little energy as possible. To save money. Of course, you can always check up on me, too. You can read it on your energy statistics.
Ready when you are
If your plans change unexpectedly, for example if you eat out instead of at home, let me know. I'll save energy while you eat. Of course, I will be ready when you get home. After all, you might want to preheat your house when you leave the restaurant.
There is no need for a postcard
Enjoy your holiday or business trip. I will take care of everything. If anything happens, I will let you know. I will be at home anyway. Even when you are away. Just tell me when you are back. Then I will make sure everything is ready.
Perfect temperature
The desired temperature will be generated. But only when it's really needed. There's no point in running all the time. That's why I'm there.
Weathersensitive compensation
I also receive online weather reports, so that I can anticipate the changing outdoor temperature. So it won't be too cold or too hot at home. In both cases, I save energy.
Modulation of the boiler
As long as possible, I work with lower temperatures. There is no point in wasting energy by switching on and off all day if running on a lower regime is more economical.
